INTERIOR STYLING
Parkholme Road sits between Dalston and Wilton Way, occupying a distinct position within the layered fabric of East London. This project marks a considered first phase in the home’s renovation, focusing on a sensitive cosmetic realignment with its conservation-area context. A welcoming, understated interior reinstates the period charm of the property while thoughtfully tailoring the space for modern family living. The approach preserves the home’s historic identity, restoring and complementing original features through restrained, thoughtful interventions.
Inspired by stained glass of the front door, a refined palette of warm gold, ochre, rose, and olive is woven throughout the interior. These hues subtly echo the exterior detailing, bringing the internal spaces into quiet dialogue with the street and the building’s inherent character. Considered design decisions allow this language to extend through to the modern rear extension, where it is gently balanced by more contemporary furniture and lighting. This measured contrast softens the transition between old and new, ensuring the home feels both rooted in its context and attuned to contemporary life.
